The Nintendo Switch version 1.11.1 of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available for download. As was expected, the most recent update to the game is a relatively minor one that focuses primarily on correcting a handful of issues that players may have encountered previously. Over the last few months, fans have been waiting with bated breath for some sort of significant expansion, but there hasn't been much in the way of new content to enjoy in the game. Although Nintendo has confirmed that a significant update will be released this year, this is unlikely to make anyone feel any better in the meantime! There was a problem with the DIY Recipes app where sorting by order obtained did not display recipes in the correct order. This has now been resolved.

It's
a significant improvement over Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which was the previous game in the series and, prior to New Horizons, was the best-selling Animal Crossing game. Since 2012, only 12.93 million copies of that title have been sold.Given the large number of people who have purchased New Horizons, it should come as no surprise that Nintendo intends to release a significant content update later in the calendar year. The company clearly wants to keep fans invested in the game while also encouraging more players to try it out. Hopefully, the next major update will meet and exceed expectations, as well as satisfy fans who have been patiently waiting for more. In previous Animal Crossing games, there were a number of features that were added that would be welcomed in New Horizons, the most notable of which was Brewster's return and the addition of the Roost cafe. Given how quickly this year is coming to a close, it appears to be a safe bet that we will know what to expect in the near future!
