The region is blessed with heavy snowfall from December to March, making it an ideal skiing destination. One of the most enticing aspects of skiing in Gulmarg is the Gulmarg Gondola, one of the highest cable cars in the world. Skiing Terrain and Slopes
Gulmarg’s skiing terrain is divided into two main areas: the Apharwat Peak and the Gulmarg Ski Resort. Apharwat Peak, located at an altitude of 4,200 meters, is the starting point for most of the advanced and intermediate skiing runs.
