Following Tyler, The Creator’s first official collaboration with Converse in early August for the Men's/Women's Converse One Star
collection, it appears a second collection of the shoe from the hip-hop
star and subcultural icon may be on the way soon. Tyler was recently
seen in a new version of the One Star, which continues the Le Fleur
theme with a flower shaped suede piece around the shoe’s side star logos
with more flowers on the two-tone outsole.
Expressively collaborative since their debut, the Golf Wang imprint — run by the talented Tyler, The Creator — and Converse One Star Trainers
have gone to prosper with its many One Star creations, pushing color
and vibrant Summer-time palettes once again along the bottoms of their
flower-pressed signature. No stranger to bright hues, the newest set-up
is one surprisingly held back relative to the quilted uppers of May’s
release. As teased by @golfwang, the canvas constructions are left a
striking white with the focal motif lying on the paints of the midsole,
taking the form of rainbow as is fitting of the currently on-going Pride
Month celebrations.
Yet another member of the A$AP Mob is getting his own sneaker collaboration, with the upcoming Converse One Star Cheap Online
by A$AP Nast. Following the One Star pack from Tyler, the Creator,
Nast’s One Star goes a different route with his version of the on-trend
sneaker, featuring a golden corduroy upper with maroon stars and a solid
white vulcanized sole unit.
Cult favorite Swedish cloud rapper Yung Lean and Converse’s budding collaborative efforts kicked off last year with a special Converse One Star For Sale,
and now the duo have joined forces yet again for another take on the
classic silhouette, this time centered around Lean’s Sad Boys. The upper
features a unique grey and silver crackled print that looks somewhat
like aged metal, while the star graphic itself boasts a shimmering
silver, contrasting with the light grey tongue and crisp while toebox.
Following their trio of camo-printed Chuck Taylors, Purchase Converse One Star
is dressing up the culturally iconic One Star in a scheme ripe for a
day of hunting. Forgoing the typical monochrome editions popularized by
late legend Kurt Cobain, the traditional Duck Camo finds full
representation across an all-over execution, mixing in hits of a deep
forrest green, a sultry tan, and contrast notes of black throughout. The
typical star logo across the profile is left a dented in white,
matching both the laces as well as the blindingly clean midsole. With
the aforementioned capsule tapping three vintage patterning, it’s likely
we’ll be seeing more variants of this near invisible staple.
