Why Consumers Value Transparency in Beauty from trendycolumn's blog

People no longer smeared any skincare or on their skin without considering the components or how the product was manufactured. This is due to the fact that today's client is typically more health- and ecologically sensitive, which translates into their beauty regimes. Whereas synthetic additives, preservatives, animal derivatives, and animal-tested goods would not have raised an eyebrow 20 years ago, these components can now be a deal breaker for customers. Organic and natural products are on the rise.Organic or natural cosmetics was often considered a niche product limited to naturopathic stores; now, more and more products are explicitly toxin- and chemical-free. Natural components are in great demand as the beauty consumer becomes more aware of the possibly dangerous compounds they are applying to their skin. "We now understand the effects of toxins and chemicals on health — many ingredients in traditional beauty products contain ingredients that can harm us," says Ere Perez, creator of natural cosmetics firm Ere Perez. "The natural beauty product trend is really about having both health and beauty — you don't have to sacrifice one for the other." When other brands do not aggressively reveal what is in their products, customers may trust them because of the amount of openness they have. "We even promote our ingredients instead of hiding them because they are natural and have incredible skin benefits," explains Perez. "For example, our almond mascara is far better for the eyes than many other mascaras that rely on chemicals to achieve results." We rely on Mother Nature."


More attention is being paid to our skin, our biggest organ, and how absorbing substances such as fragrance, parabens, sulfates, and chemical components may irritate or hurt us. Many organic brand owners' identities and stories are influenced by their work in the field. "I use my education and experience as a Naturopath to create products that enhance the beauty of the skin while causing no harm to health or the environment," says Clémence Organics creator Bridget Carmady.0


Sourced TransparentlyConsumers want to know where their products are coming from as well as what substances they're utilising; transparency in beauty means offering information on all parts of your product. Have they been sourced ethically? What farm do they come from? What nation did they come from? Why wouldn't customers do the same for their cosmetic products as they become more conscious of locally sourced food in their pantry? "We believe that this awareness began with the organic food movement, which really pushed the connection between environmental sustainability and human health," says Sarah Buscho, creator of EarthTuFace, a plant-based, all-natural face care company.
