3) The jeweler claims that they have exclusive rights to making certain types of rings and engraving certain names onto them (like "Mr. & Mrs."). This isn't true at all; anyone can make those kinds of rings if they want! All it takes is some basic knowledge about metalsmithing, tools like an arc welder or plasma cutter (or even just a soldering iron), and maybe some good ol' elbow grease!
