Diablo 4 is a blend of the Studio's approach to Diablo from Devon's blog

His presence will be felt through these intermediaries unless circumstances make him a victim. Tyrael still feels the repercussions of destroying the Worldstone at the conclusion of Diablo 2. That mystical artifact protected Sanctuary from Heaven and Hell, and he now serves as the protector of the land as its successor. Tyrael is unlikely to lead any further assaults into Hell or even go further that to the Pandemonium Fortress Diablo IV Gold, where he could offer advice as Deckard Cain for those who will stay and listen.

Five playable Diablo classes have been revealed so far and they all offer variants of earlier games. Each installment has provided something different the possibility is that Tyrael might become an element of the battle, balancing the sides by giving players the opportunity to take on angelic or demon powers in exchange for obligations to Sanctuary. This sort of mechanism could easily follow on the multi-tree expansion that was previously in the game.

It's doubtful that Blizzard plans to create Angels or Demons into classes, considering that the franchise focuses on the people trapped between their ways. In reality, though, as the one stuck between Heaven and Hell Tyrael has a unique position in all of Diablo story. He will more likely be acting as a balancer within the story, or even a voice of reason rather than siding with the side his former self. Although he may be forced to take sides, Tyrael is now aware of the value of mortals, which is why he'll most likely take part in the events of Diablo 4.

Blizzard's strategy for speccing your character's abilities in Diablo 4 is a blend of the Studio's approach to Diablo 2 and Diablo 3. As the executive producer and director of the Diablo franchise Rod Fergusson put it, "Diablo 2 felt like you were locked in. You could change your spec every time you faced a challenge. But in D3, you kind of changed your character like you were changing your clothes. Everything was gear-based as opposed to skill-based cheap Diablo 4 Gold."Fergusson added, "I think the fact that we have skills on the equipment [in Diablo 4] is really nice for experimentation -- as a sorceress I [might] get Blizzard [on a pair of boots] three levels before I should and I can try Blizzard to see if I actually want it."
